Governor's Award and RK Sanatombi Devi Award,2022
The Governor’s Award and RK Sanatombi Devi Award distribution for the year 2022 was held on the 15th of September ,2022 at Asha Jina complex, North AOC,Imphal. Shri La. Ganesan,Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of Manipur and Dr. RK Nimai Singh, IAS (Retd), Chairman, South Asian Rural and Agricultural Management Foundation graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
The Governor's Award was instituted in the year 1998 to promote and encourage the students of Rajkumari Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Haotal, Imphal for pursuit of excellence in academic and co-curricular activities. The recipients of the Governor's Award for the year 2021 and 2022 are Khumbongmayum Panshi, Class X-C (2021), Evana Thangjam, Class X-A (2022) of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Haotal, Pangei, respectively.
The RK Sanatombi Devi Award was instituted in the year 1983 to recognise and encourage passion and excellence in various fields. This Award shall be given annually in the form of a certificate, a memento and a cash award of Rs. 20,000/- by the Managing Committee, in appreciation of outstanding performance in the field of Education, Arts, Sports, Social Workers, Differently Abled Person, Traffic Control (Police), Nurse and Journalism. This year, 7 (seven) Awards have been given in the field of Traffic Police, Teaching, Nursing, Sports (2), Differently Abled Person and Best student in Co- Curricular Activities/Sports (CBSE Schools of Manipur) .
The Award winners for the Year 2022 are:
TRAFFIC POLICE: Smt Kangabam Tamphaleima Chanu, WHG No 100277, has been selected for her outstanding service as a Traffic Police.
TEACHER :Rajkumari Romila Devi, Lect, CC Hr Sec School, Imphal has been selected for this Award for her devoted service as a Teacher.
NURSE :Kakchingtabam Sumati Devi, District Public Health Nursing Officer, CMO, Porompat, Imphal East has been selected for her devoted service and valuable contributions towards the society as a Nurse
DIFFERENTLY ABLED :Shri Gurumayum Shivachandra Sharma , Bramhapur Aribam Leikai, Imphal East has been selected for this Award for his commendable activities as Cultural Activist with enthusiasm inspite of his challenges.
SPORTS PERSONS :Boxing: Sanamacha Chanu Thokchom, Khongjom Chingtham Maning Leikai, Thoubal, has been selected for her outstanding achievements in various international competitions.
SWIMMING: Laitonjam Lanchenba, Singjamei Mathak Thokchom Leikai, Imphal, has been selected for his outstanding achievements in swimming.
BEST STUDENT in Co-Curricular Activities/Sports (CBSE Schools): Hanjabam Langlentombi Devi, of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Imphal, is being Awarded for her outstanding achievements in Wushu. She has won over 30 Gold medals at the National and International.
The award distribution ceremony was followed by beautiful entertainment performances from the students.
